Rotterdam-based scale-up FitForMe is a global market leader in a niche within a niche: vitamin preparations for people who have had gastric bypasses. Worldwide, there are increasing numbers of people with (morbid) obesity and comorbidities such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. To help them lose significant weight and improve quality of life, surgeons are performing more and more gastric reduction surgeries every year. After such an operation, it is difficult to ingest and absorb enough vitamins and minerals. FitForMe responds to this with products specifically tailored to patients' needs depending on the type of gastric surgery they have had.
