Easywalker manufactures and markets high-quality, affordable strollers and baby carriages. There is plenty of growth potential and ambition. The Chief Operations Officer will take the supply chain, and the entire organization, into the next stage. Their goal will be to facilitate the doubling in sales that Easywalker is aiming for in the next three years.

Easywalker believes in the Beauty of Bonding. With its strollers and baby carriages, this company is encouraging young parents to go out and bond with the world. Easywalker develops their products in the Netherlands, in collaboration with a leading Italian design agency. The strollers and baby carriages are then produced in China and shipped directly to the customer or the (external) warehouse in Amsterdam, finding their way to consumers, retailers, and international distributors.
Easywalker strollers and baby carriages are available in most of Europe, as well as Asia, the Middle East, and Australia. The organization is growing fast, and a top 3 spot in the major European markets is their next goal. Over the next three years, Easywalker wants to continue its growth and double its sales, in part by increasing market share in existing markets, but also by tapping new markets. A clear operational vision and strategy will be an essential element of the upscale. It is a fantastic challenge for an experienced, entrepreneurial Chief Operations Officer.
Requirements*
- At least 8 years of work experience
- In supply chain creation and/or scaling
- Experience working with suppliers in China
- Entrepreneurial
- Scale-up ambitions and experience

Chief Operations Officer
The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will be responsible for setting a vision for Easywalker’s supply chain. That covers the entire operation, including logistics, purchasing, inventory management, order processing, customer service, and IT. The COO will analyze the current system from A to Z and easily identify improvement opportunities. The foundation is there, but there is certainly room for professionalization around issues like customer satisfaction, margin improvement, and inventory management, and the organization can be scaled up significantly. But the COO will also handle in-market quality issues, as well as negotiations with suppliers. Their focus won’t just be on supply chain. As a member of the MT, the COO shares responsibility for corporate strategy and implementation.
The COO will be based in Amsterdam Zuid, where they will maintain relationships with factories in Asia, and logistics partners and customers across the different regions. The COO will be the hub of this wheel and will work closely with the product development, sales, marketing, e-commerce, and finance departments. They will make sure that all departments are aligned, and that customer-facing processes are effective and efficient.
The COO will manage a buyer, the customer care team and the external logistics and IT partner. The right candidate’s excellent people skills and engaging communication style will help them get the best out of the team. They know how to build support for change and anchor the scale-up mindset at every level within the organization.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on team player with experience in a scale-up environment.
