Takeaway.com, originally from the Netherlands, is one of the first meal delivery companies in the country and has become an integral part of our society. Virtually every restaurant owner as well as every consumer works with it on a regular basis nowadays. What began in 1999 as a platform on which restaurants offered their own meals and delivery services, has grown into an international and listed company.
Over the past twenty years, the platform has been further developed and expanded with new features. Since 2016, for example, Takeaway.com has had its own delivery branch called Scoober. This means that one can also order meals from restaurants without their own delivery service. It sounds very simple: restaurants put their menus on the website and Takeaway.com takes care of the delivery. Very handy, but for the meal delivery service itself it creates much more work.
Within this business model, the competition is fierce, making the market extremely competitive. As a result, companies are constantly thinking creatively about how to reinvent themselves in order to gain, maintain and increase market share. Requirements*
- More than five years of experience in (global) sourcing or relevant HR roles
- Perfect command of the English language
- Is an expert in structuring their own work
- Ready to travel (internationally) for work
- Communicatively strong and culturally sensitive

In addition to deciphering data, solid communication skills help the Global Sourcing Manager to spread the insights in a clear manner throughout the company.
