Requirements*
- Over 2 years’ leadership experience
- Operations management, management consulting, or strategy in a large business or scale-up
- Logistics, supply chain, and operations studies or project experience
- A valid driving license
- Analytical
- People skills
- Fluent in both written and verbal English

Head of Ground Operations
The Head of Ground Operations is a highly adaptable person who switches easily between long-term strategic initiatives and rapid deployment actions on the ground.
This role will be overseeing eleven distribution centers in the Netherlands, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly, efficiently, and always with high quality. From the moment a parcel is picked up at a webshop until it’s loaded in the van, ready to be delivered.
A large part of the position involves strategic and bold thinking for process improvement in a rapidly growing business, such as developing tracking tools for within terminal processes, improving personnel productivity, and expanding the company’s terminals. Work time will be divided between tactical decision making and ‘having one’s feet firmly on the ground’, managing teams at the terminals, establishing relationships with couriers and partners, and ensuring everyone is operating in a safe working environment.
The Head of Ground Operations will have a seat in the local management team and report directly to General Manager Jørgen Höppener (former Roland Berger Strategy Consultant).
